U14 Major Playoff Rules
All teams will be guaranteed 3 games.
The teams will play a round robin. With the team that finishes first advancing directly into the championship game.
The remaining teams will playoff in a 2 vs 5 and 3 vs 4 format. In the case of the U14 Major division there are only 3 teams
the first place team will advance to the finals (championship game) and the other two teams will playoff to see who
advances to play them.
If two teams are tied:
The first tie breaker will be the game played against each other.
If three teams are tied:
The first tie breaker will be the games played against each other.
To determine what team advances and which teams playoff.
It they are still tied the goal differential will be used to determine which team advances to the finals and which teams playoff.
All games in the playoffs will have a winner.
If the game is tied after regulation time the game will go to a 5 minute sudden victory overtime. If the game is still tied there will then be
a 3 player shootout same rules as the regular season.
Any player that receives a penalty with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game and the game goes into overtime the player will
serve the remainder of their penalty in overtime. If the player receives a penalty in overtime with less than 2 minutes remaining
that player is still eligible to shoot in the shootout.
