U10 Major Playoff Rules
The First and Second place teams after the regular season is completed will play a best of three. The first team to win 2 games is the U10 Major Champions.
The Playoffs start on Tuesday June 19th 6:30 pm at the Genesis Centre. Game 2 will be on Thursday June 21st 6:30 pm at the Genesis Centre. Game 3 if needed
will be played on Tuesday June 26th 6:30 pm at Triwood Arena.
Tie games will be decided first with a 5 minute sudden victory over-time if the game is still tied it will go to a 3 player shootout. Same rules as the regular season.
Any player that receives a penalty with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game and the game goes into overtime the player will
serve the remainder of their penalty in overtime. If the player receives a penalty in overtime with less than 2 minutes remaining
that player is still eligible to shoot in the shootout.
U10 Minor Playoff Rules
The teams will play a round robin. With the team that finishes first advancing directly into the championship game.
The remaining teams will play in the Semi-finals with the winner advancing to the Finals. The losing team will receive the Bronze Medals.
The Playoffs start on Tuesday June 19th 6:30 pm. All games will be played at Optimist arena.
If two teams are tied:
The first tie breaker will be the game played against each other.
If three teams are tied:
The first tie breaker will be the games played against each other.
To determine what team advances and which teams playoff.
It they are still tied the goal differential will be used to determine which team advances to the finals and which teams playoff.
The two remaining teams if still tied by goal differential the first tie breaker will be the game played against each.
If still tied goals against with the team that has allowed the fewest goals advancing. Last if they are still tied it will come down to which team
scored the first goal in their first playoff game.
All games in the playoffs will have a winner.
